As you can see in the image above careful attention was taken to not only clean but actually repaint the inner closet once the old equipment was removed. What better time to get fresh clean paint in such tight quarters as when the equipment has been removed during a replacement; and the answer is YES the water heater was removed also to make sure the whole air handling utility closet was fully prepped, painted clean and fresh.
Besides the fresh clean smelling painted surfaces, we also replaced the closet base with nice shiny new sheet metal perfectly sealed against any possible future water or moisture from ever entering the home.
Register grills that are tattered or missing are replaced such as the one in the ceiling on this job (not shown). All single wall gas flue pipe below the ceiling is replaced with new, double wall flue pipe on gas furnaces.
And finally, a nice new filter grill is added as an extra convenience to the customer to help make filter changing a breeze and then the complete system is double taped and triple sealed with a special high-quality rubber impregnated sealant and triple checked for any possible air or moisture leaks to make sure you are squeezing every possible drop of efficiency out of your new HVAC air conditioning and heating system’s energy usage dollar.
